I am a second year teacher at Continental now. Very excited to now teach 2nd graders. Last year I taught 5th grade ELA.
Before coming to Continental, I taught in Nogales at AJ Mitchell Elementary. (5th grade- All Subjects)
I have also taught a 1st grade bilingual class in NM and a 4th grade class.
I was a respiratory therapist for 9 years. I worked in the Adult, Pediatric, and Neonatal ICU’s. However, I found my calling to teach after doing quite a bit of asthma education. I wanted to teach children full time and not just in the clinical setting. :)
I also served time in active duty for the USAF.
I am married to a wonderful husband and I have three beautiful girls! Two attend Continental (5th and 1st).
We also have cats! They are exotic short hairs (persians with short hair), so very cute!! :)
My hobbies include always looking for ways to improve as a teacher. (I love getting ideas!) I also love to read and scuba dive. I do not scuba dive as much as I used to when I lived in the Florida Keys but it is a fond memory. I also love to fish and play board games.
